FLINT Studio presents an exploration of
the role played by furniture in our spatial
experiences; the subtle dance between
void and form that surrounds us daily.
“A piece of furniture is not merely a functional
object; it acts as a direct connector between
ourselves and our environments. It allows us
to be present. By taking a seat, we become
part of a larger whole.”
and specifically that of the ‘Pootjes!’ chair,
we observe a reduction in form which
aesthetically reveals the essence of an object,
in a sculptural manner.
The ‘Pootjes!’ chair is presented by KOKKE House at
FLINT Space alongside photography by Walter Pierre,
as well as notes and images from the KOKKE archive.
